Giles Watling, Member of Parliament for Clacton, encourages local residents to take advantage of the RSPCA’s ‘Snip and Chip’ event that is taking place on 27th February 2019.
The North Essex RSPCA are offering a neutering and microchipping service for cats. The service includes collection and drop off from either Jaywick Community and Resource Centre or Coppins Community Centre to the clinic in Colchester where the neutering and microchipping will take place.
Owners are to drop their cats off at 11am and they will be returned at 6pm.
The cost of the collection, drop off, microchipping and neutering is just £10.
Giles said
“The RSPCA work tirelessly for the benefit of animals – I know because I have been out on patrol with them, and they are a truly dedicated team.
“Whether that is rescuing animals who are at risk of harm or suffering animal cruelty, educating owners on how best to look after their beloved pets or providing services like this Snip and Chip event that will be invaluable for many local cat owners. I urge owners that need to microchip their cat and would like to have it neutered to take advantage of this event.”
