REACTION TO LOCAL ELECTION RESULTS

I would like to, firstly, express my disappointment at the local election results in our area and I am saddened that we have lost so many hard-working councillors.

Giles Watling, MP for Clacton, has welcomed the news that Caradoc Surgery is showing signs of improvement for patients, according to testimony from a recent patient.

GILES WRITES TO CHANCELLOR SEEKING BEER DUTY CUT

Giles Watling, MP for Clacton, has once again written to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rt Hon Philip Hammond MP, to request that Beer Duty is cut in the Budget later this year.

GILES QUESTIONS MINISTERS ON TOURISM

Giles Watling, MP for Clacton, has questioned Ministers from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) on the attractiveness of the UK as a visitor destination.

GILES VISITS CLACTON ENTERPRISE CENTRE

Giles Watling, Member of Parliament for Clacton, recently visited the Clacton Enterprise Centre.  Giles met with William Roberts, proprietor of the centre and discussed how he went from tenant to landlord and his plans for the future of the site. 

BREXIT: POSSIBLE OUTCOMES

This remains a fluid situation and there are several possible outcomes to the current malaise that we are seeing in Parliament.

GILES CAMPAIGNS FOR CLEARER FOOD LABELLING

Giles Watling, MP for Clacton, has tabled an amendment to the Agriculture Bill to create mandatory labels for meat products, which will indicate the method of slaughter used, and whether the animal was stunned during the act of slaughter.
