The Older Person’s Fair, organised by Giles Watling MP in conjunction with Tendring District Council, returns in 2023 for the first time since Covid to support older members of the community.
Running from 10am to 2pm on the 11th of September, the event aims to bring together dozens of organisations offering services that support older people within Clacton for them to engage with and access.
The Princes Theatre in the Town Hall on Station Road has been chosen again to host the fair, which was last held in 2019.
Older citizens in Clacton are encouraged to attend and find out more about the services that exist to support them.
Giles Watling MP, who is organising the event in conjunction with Tendring District Council, said:
“It is very important to me that my constituents know what services are available to them, and engage with them when they need to. The charities, community groups, government services and businesses attending want to support the older members of our community and it’s vital that we are able to help make these connections happen. I am pleased that we can bring the Older Person’s Fair back and I encourage people to attend and find out more about the services that exist in Clacton.”
