A People's Vote (Second Referendum)

As 70% of my constituents voted for Brexit, I am clear that we must deliver on what the majority of the people in the Clacton constituency wanted, and we will be leaving the EU on 29th March 2019.

Moreover, 61.2% of those same constituents voted for me less than a year later – when I campaigned on a platform for enacting the referendum decision. I also hear regularly from constituents, both in writing and in person, about how they want the referendum decision to be enacted.

We must not have another referendum; being binary, referenda are divisive by nature and would leave the country in an extended period of pain and uncertainty.

What we must do is deliver on the result of the referendum by leaving the EU in good time.
