Giles Watling met with Mick Collins of Frinton and Walton Youth Football Club to discuss how to get more funding to improve the facilities at their ground.
Having secured some money from the Conservative controlled Tendring District Council, amongst others, the club has already begun to make improvements to its changing rooms and clubhouse. However there is much more that still needs to be done. During his visit Giles was shown round former changing rooms, showers and bar area which are still in need of significant renovation.
Giles said: “I will do everything I can to support this fantastic club which provides opportunities for over 200 young people locally. As a first step I will work with Mick to help secure the further funding the club needs.”
