Hedingham, the bus operator that will soon be taking over routes in Clacton from First Essex, have invited local residents to join them at meeting on 16th July to discuss these services.
A spokesperson from Hedingham is attending the Warwick Arms, Pier Avenue, Clacton on Monday 16th July at 7:30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend to ask questions and raise concerns about the Clacton bus routes that Hedingham is taking over.
Hedingham stepped in to take over from First Essex following their withdrawal in May 2018, meaning that there would be no break in public service, and Hedingham, who already have an existing depot up and running in Clacton, will scale up their operations to take on these additional services. Hedingham have also won the contract from Essex County Council for evening buses in Clacton town from 29th July, and will become the major operator within the town.
Giles said: “I am pleased that Hedingham are taking this opportunity to engage with local residents about the new services. We all rely on public transport, and it is right that we have the opportunity to shape its development. I would encourage all interested parties to attend and make the most of this valuable opportunity.”
