Giles Watling, MP for Clacton, has recently met with Tendring Pensioners’ Action Group (TenPAG), a local group that campaigns on matters affecting pensioners in the Clacton constituency.
During the meeting, on 15th August, Giles spoke to the group about local health care, Brexit, pensions, public toilets and transport.
Giles was joined at the meeting by Sam Hepplewhite, Chief Officer of North Essex Clinical Commissioning Group who accepted Giles’ invitation to meet with the group.
TenPAG are working on behalf of all local pensioners to secure better pensions, better social care and a better environment, and they meet on the third Wednesday of each month at St Bartholomew's Church Hall, Frinton Road, Holland-on-Sea, CO15 5UH. TenPAG currently have just over 80 members, and meetings commence at 2.00pm, with a speaker on a topic of interest to older people. The last part of the meeting is usually a formal time to discuss group, local and national issues that are affecting pensioners.
Giles said
“I would like to thank the members of TenPAG for having me along to speak to them at their recent meeting. We discussed a broad range of topics and I would like to thank Sam Hepplewhite, Chief Officer of North Essex CCG who took time to discuss local healthcare with the members of TenPAG.
"They are an engaged, active group and I look forward to our next meeting.”
