Giles Watling, Member of Parliament for Clacton, recently visited local primary school Ravens Academy.
During his visit, Giles was taken on a tour of the school by two year six pupils Annabelle Fox and Tom Unite. After the tour Giles sat down with the rest of the School Council for a question and answer session.
Charley Minter, Deputy Headteacher, met with Giles during the visit and discussed issues including special educational needs funding, school capital funding, and educational outcomes for pupils.
Giles said
“I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Ravens Academy. They recently visited me in Parliament and it was great to be able to meet them back at their school. They were so engaged in their learning, whilst looking forward to the festive season - great to see staff and pupils wearing Christmas jumpers!”
