On Friday 25th February, Giles Watling MP, Member of Parliament for Clacton, hosted Emma Gilson, from Essex Cares, at his local constituency surgery in Clacton.
Essex Cares has a caseload of individuals across the Essex region that are actively seeking employment and Giles has offered his support with their work.
Essex Cares provide the full wrap around support for both the business and the individual, to ensure it’s a success. They can provide a work coach to support that person for the first few shifts, to take the pressure off line managers, and they offer work trials for up to four shifts at no cost to the employer to see if it is going to be a good fit. More importantly, Essex Cares are very vocal on social media with businesses that are showing corporate social responsibility and putting disability on their business agenda.
To date, they have placed almost 120 people into paid employment, ranging from retail, maintenance, warehouse right through to corporate roles. They have recently won the Great British Care Awards for ‘Innovation’ for Inclusive Employment and they are proud to be a member of the Chamber of Commerce.
