Giles Watling, MP for Clacton, is calling on local schools to apply for the International School Award (ISA), a globally recognised accreditation for any international work those schools may undertake.
The International School Award (ISA) is part of the British Council’s work in education, and allows schools to gain recognition for their international work, while also enabling teachers to become part of an online community of international educators. As part of that community, participating schools will receive free assistance from the British Council and feedback from global education experts.
The International School Award is open to all schools in the UK, and if a school is successfully accredited they will be invited to an award ceremony to celebrate international work in UK schools. Currently, across the UK, over 10,000 schools are involved with one or more of the British Council’s programmes over the last five years, which provide young people with the knowledge, skills and outlook needed to live and work in our globalised economy
If you would like to get involved, or if you have any specific questions about the ISA, please email isa@britishcouncil.org or phone 020 7389 4620.
